Photographers are a dime a dozen. The digital revolution has democratized photography in way never before seen. Where you might think some photographers would complain about that, I do not. I think the more people who take pictures the more people appreciate what it is the create a photograph.

Above I said that we photographers are a dime a dozen and judging by sheer numbers that’s true but great photographers are much more rare and generally speaking, much more expensive. I’ve been shooting professionally for almost thirty years. The main focus of my work has been commercial. I specialize in event, location, illustrative and product work. I’ve spent much of my life working in marketing and sales and I bring that experience, the knowledge of what kind of images really move people to action, to my photographic work. Art is part of it but only part. The image has to motivate as well.

With that experiential complexity, my rates will are exceedingly simple. $100 an hour is what you pay no matter what I am doing. For that rate you receive high res copies of the shots I take to use as you please*. I also offer post-processing and retouching work at the same rate for anything I shoot. I can and will be happy to quote a rate for a given job. There are some things where expenses and travel time may add to that. I also work on retainer plans for several of my clients. These allow you to reserve blocks of my time on a monthly basis at a great discount. In short, I’m flexible enough to offer you a rate plan and services tailored exactly to your needs, not mine.
