What a week
Another week has gone by and I am another year older (but, rest assured, no wiser). I’ve spent most of the time since the last post chained to my nasty, old desk however said desk now resides comfortably ensconced within the confines of a newly painted and air conditioned office. This is a big change for me as the old office (what will be our new guest room) had no air conditioning, unless you count century old windows.
So now my office is, rather than the center from which all pains emanates, now it’s a pleasure palace that is, at the touch of a button, seventy-two lovely degrees.
Aaaaahhhh.
As I mentioned above, it’s been a week of mostly office work. In that time I’ve completed a number of lingering and a handful of new projects that had built up. It’s always nice to finish off office work (which is usually design and layout work but sometimes veers off in interesting directions) and get back out shooting.
I went out yesterday morning at dawn just to get out. I walked down to the Convention Center and then walked around it to get some shots in the morning light. I was hoping for good clouds and sadly, there were hardly any (who complains about there not being clouds?).
Below are a few shots from that walk. Here’s the complete gallery.
And here are two videos. Both are montages of images I’ve shot. I love putting these together. It’s a lot of fun and a completely different way to work with my photographs. I also get to have some fun with music. Fans of my favorite television show, Deadliest Catch, will recognize the riffs I ripped from them in the Sertoma Video.
2008 Sertoma BBQ…
Here are the galleries that contain all the Sertoma images from this year (and when I say all I mean there are more than 800 images in all of the galleries).

Here is the gallery that most of the Building Character images came from.
Here are a few of the shots by themselves…
