0My Opinion
One need not be an artist for very long before realizing that people will take work, for free, and use it to their hearts content and feel they’ve done nothing wrong.
I never understood that. These same people would never sell and install a kitchen counter and not expect to be paid. They wouldn’t repair your car or truck and do it for free. Yet they think that building a web site, designed graphics and shooting photographs is something that has no value.
Sadly, such is the case with the ATQMRA. After putting in more than 200 hours worth of work, travelling over a thousand miles and shooting almost 1,000 images for them, they’ve stiffed me.
So, all that goes down the drain. And it’s a shame because it was a nice site and I had done some pretty solid photographic for them. But, this is a business.
The only comfort, however small, is that their old site, the one they are, apparently, going to continue to use, is such an embarrassment that I’m glad not to be connected with them any longer.
I’ll be putting together a retrospective gallery of the work I did for them soon. I’ll post an item here when it is ready.
